How does Domestic | Match find skilled candidates?
When a client initiates a search we reach out to our extensive network of candidates first. We also have the most generous referral programs in the country; we know that the best people know the best people! The terms of our Referral Program can be found below.Top candidates often find us by referral from other domestic professionals that have enjoyed working with us in the past. We treat our candidates with respect, we work hard to create strong relationships with our candidates. In turn, our existing candidates feel comfortable referring their co-workers, family, and friends to us. In addition to these methods, we also use online resources, social media, and partnerships with other agencies.
What do you require of your candidates?
Domestic | Match candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ successful experience in private homes and strong references from their past employers. We also require all of our candidates to have the ability to work legally in the US. We work hard to select candidates that are the best at what they do, a cut above the rest. You can count on us to present you with a selection of very talented private service professionals.
Can you help me find a candidate that is a good fit for my home?
Yes, that is why we are here for you. We understand that it can be stressful trying to find just the right person to work in your home. Our Placement Counselors are available to provide you with a free consultation at any time. Tell us about your family and your household needs. We will create a custom job profile and begin searching for your ideal candidate right away. We will even provide you with interviewing tips and guide you through the process.
How does Domestic | Match screen their candidates?
Applicants first complete a detailed initial application. If they make it through the screening process we schedule a personal interview with the applicant. If we feel that they might be qualified for a position with our clients, have a great personality and experience, we then reach out to the applicant’s past employers to collect detailed information about their experience with the applicant. If the applicant’s references are excellent, we then register them as a Domestic | Match candidate.
Before a candidate is placed in your home for a trial period or permanent placement they undergo several background checks; Social Security scan,National Sex Offender Registry, 7-year country criminal background and driving record checks. If we are helping you fill a childcare position we will ask for the candidates CPR certification and TB test. Childcare candidates will have their fingerprints registered with Trustline, after a formal employment offer has been made. We have the ability to order supplementary background checks if so desired, additional fees will apply.
Will you help me determine which candidate best meets my needs?
Our Placement Counselors will present you with candidates that match your needs.. You will schedule and interview candidates at your convenience, we then refine your search even further by using your feedback. We are always here to help guide you through the process.
Why should I use an agency for my search?
Because your family, and your time, is important. There are certainly a wealth of methods available for a family to perform a household staffing search on their own. Searching for household staff is very time consuming. Essentially, we serve as a filter by meeting hundreds of applicants each year, we do the hard work and only present you with strong candidates who make sense for your position. Our guarantee to you: we will not present a candidate to you unless we feel that they have the potential to be successful in the role that is open in your home. We don’t waste your time.

We’re always eager to meet talented private service professionals who are dedicated to making the lives of their employers simpler and more fulfilling. We offer a $1,500 referral bonus for any new candidate you introduce to us who we successfully place in a new, full-time, position.

The Fine Print
Referral bonuses will be awarded under the following terms: when contacting us, the applicant must include the name of the individual who is responsible for referring them to Domestic | Match, no exceptions can be made to this rule. The applicant referred to us must be a new contact for Domestic | Match. In the event that we make a full-time career placement that generates a placement fee, we will pay you $1,500 after our candidate has completed 90 days of employment. In the event that we make a part-time career placement that generates a placement fee, we will pay you $500 after our candidate has completed 90 days of employment. Domestic | Match does not pay referral bonuses for temporary positions.
