Family Office on the Peninsula is looking for a Family Assistant to provide support for both the home and the Principal’s personal requests. The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve independently, but work within a team environment. Will have to wear multiple hats and deal with change with a smile. A sense of humor is key as well as respecting everyone on the team. Must have stellar communication skills and the ability to change gears easily. Should have some house management experience as you may be expected to do light cooking or cleaning in addition to organizing and stocking the homes. Personal assistance is also key as there are various projects and errands on a regular basis. Ability to work with children and pets is a must.

Children’s Activities and Scheduling:
● Work with Principals and Nannies to determine which activities the children will participate in
● Facilitate the sign-up process and communicate all aspects of the process to the Nanny Group
● Add activities to the calendar – call out any conflict
● Work with principals on who will notify when the children will miss activities
● Communicate on a regular basis with principal and nannies regarding calendar changes and reminders
● Email activities along with who is taking them each week on both Fridays and Mondays. Send updates as needed throughout the week
● Sign up for children’s classes and register for camps and special events. Research new activities
● Print and distribute calendar and Rah Rah Homework on a weekly basis
● May also act as a back-up babysitter on occasion
House Management:
● Act as back-up for the House Manager when needed
● Must learn the ins and outs of the main home to include inventory, schedules, vendor management and family preferences
● Light cooking and meal prep, laundry and grocery shopping may be required
Personal Assistance:
● Personal shopping and errands (dry cleaning, picking up mail, returns, etc.)
● Maintain personal calendar; schedule appointments, send reminders
● Off hours requests like dinner reservations, car service arrangements and potentially some travel arrangements
Purchasing and Special Projects:
● Purchases as directed by Principal for the homes, children, etc.
● Purchase various event tickets as requested and send reminders on a regular basis
● Finding unique items for Principal when requested
● Gifts as directed – staff and personal
Special Events:
● Plan and execute children’s (and/or family) birthday parties; book vendors, plan menu, entertainment, etc.
● Assist with children’s school events and functions
Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years’ related experience working as a Family Assistant with a private family, excellent references from all past employers
- Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
- Must be very tech savvy!
- Background in elementary education a plus
- Knowledge of general first aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to speak English fluently
- Must be able to make a long-term commitment and pass an in-depth background check
- Able to work well in a team environment and have a very positive attitude
