House Manager

Our client in Atherton has an immediate need for a full-time House Manager for their semi-formal home. The ideal candidate will be willing to work a flexible schedule and start a new position IMMEDIATELY. This is a hands-on position, the manager who is hired will be expected to pitch in wherever needed.

Responsibilities:

  • General household management
  • Manage one chef, two housekeepers, vendors
  • Scheduling vendors, home maintenance
  • Act as gatekeeper for the family
  • Table service, party coordination-clean up
  • Create systems to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Manage household inventories, purchasing household supplies
  • Pack/unpack luggage as needed
  • Inventory wardrobes, manage repairs
  • Personal shopping, errands

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a House Manager in a luxury home required
  • Must be open to direct feedback from the family
  • “No job is too small” attitude, must be willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in!
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills are important in this role
  • Occasional weekend and holiday work-must be flexible to accommodate the needs of the family
  • Should be willing to work in a home with children and pets
  • Must have excellent references from past employers

Compensation:

  • Excellent |  DOE
