Housekeeper

Family has an immediate need for a full-time Professional Housekeeper for their Jackson Hole, Wyoming vacation home. Applicants must have previous high-level housekeeping experience in a luxury residence, be polished and professional and be able to work well with minimal supervision.

The candidate must be able to perform housekeeping, organizational and household management duties. Candidates should have a proactive attitude regarding housekeeping responsibilities and challenges, and enjoy keeping the residence ready to be enjoyed by the family.

Typical Duties:

  • Hands-on cleaning of the entire home
  • Establish daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal housekeeping checklists
  • Work directly with Principal and Caretaker  to maintain high-level housekeeping standards
  • Supervise repairs and vendors
  • Stock the home with cleaning supplies and groceries
  • Pack and unpack suitcase for family
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Manage dry cleaning
  • Light cooking, meal prep
  • Communicate with Principal regularly, text and email

Applicant Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience as a professional housekeeper
  • Desire for long-term employment
  • Experience working with an individual or family, in a residential setting
  • Longevity in past estate positions, excellent references from past employers
  • Ability to handle very sensitive and highly confidential issues with diplomacy and discretion
  • Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills, must be able to text and email, in English
  • Authorized to work legally in the US and be willing to undergo an in-depth background investigation
  • No job is too small, willingness to work on any project proactively at any level
  • High-energy and ability to grasp concepts quickly, high degree of common sense
  • Strong work ethic, “can-do” attitude
  • Move quickly, efficiently and effectively through daily task list
  • Ability to accomplish goals of housekeeping within a flexible and unpredictable household schedule
  • Able to gracefully accept very direct feedback from Principal
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work in a proactive manner
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
  • Ability to maximize housekeeping activities for maximum efficiency
  • Ability to establish, follow and update housekeeping procedures
  • Must be detail oriented!
  • Must love pets!
  • Ability to identify problems and report problems to Principal
  • Ability to prepare household and family for seasonal use
  • Proactively assess needs of family
  • Excellent references from past employers
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
