San Francisco family is seeking a true professional, experienced and educated Live-In Nanny/Family Assistant for a family with 4 children (one toddler and 3 tweens). Candidates must have solid experience and excellent references.  Responsibilities include assisting in managing the children’s school and weekend schedule and activities, assist with transportation to and from appointments.  The family is seeking someone who is comfortable with a big fluffy dog and occasional dog sitting.  Flexibility with schedule is mandatory; domestic and international travel will be required with the family on an as-needed basis and working some holidays.

The family is seeking candidates who are reliable, mature, accountable, and physically active.  Candidates should have the ability to multi-task, proficient use of Mac products and be able to accommodate the changing schedules of the family and remain positive and calm.  A good sense of humor is a plus!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing and coordinating kids schedules
  • Driving children to/from activities
  • Organizing and careful inventory of children’s clothing and personal belongings
  • Light housekeeping as needed
  • Walks and activities with children and dog
  • Personal shopping
  • Plan children’s birthday parties/events
  • Overnight care as needed

Applicant Requirements:

 

  • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience working as a Nanny/Family Assistant with a private family
  • Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work extra hours and overtime as needed
  • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
  • Physically agile; able to keep up with active children
  • Background in elementary education a plus
  • Knowledge of general first aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Valid passport with flexibility to travel with family as needed-domestic and international
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to speak English fluently-Spanish Language skills are a plus
  • Must be able to make a long-term commitment
  • Able to work well under the supervision of House Manager and communicate in an executive environment
